What To Do In An Emergency
At The Ealing Vet and The London House Vet, we are proud to offer a high level of personalised, home visit veterinary care. As a single vet mobile practice we may not always be able to accommodate emergencies or urgent home visit requests, even during our opening hours. In situations where your pet requires more immediate attention than our availability allows, we will always do our best to support you.
Where you have a genuine emergency that cannot wait we may suggest you arrange a home visit with our out of hours provider Veteris.
In some cases, we may also recommend a prompt in-clinic assessment at a local veterinary practice to ensure your pet receives timely care.
Our Opening Hours
We operate Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm.
We are unable to provide overnight, weekend, or 24-hour emergency cover.
Recognising An Emergency
If your pet experiences any of the following, this should be treated as an emergency requiring immediate veterinary attention:

Profuse or uncontrolled bleeding

Collapse or inability to stand

Difficulty breathing / severe respiratory distress

A male cat that is not urinating

Seizures
-
Severe trauma (road traffic accident, fall, bite wounds)

Suspected toxin ingestion eg. grapes, raisins, chocolate
-
Extreme pain

Friday & Weekend Precautions
If your pet is unwell on a Friday and may require care over the weekend, we will prepare a clinical history as a precaution to enable any care provider access to full medical information in our absence. This ensures continuity of care and that they have your pet’s medical history if emergency treatment is needed.
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always our top priority. If you have any questions about emergency cover, please don’t hesitate to ask.
