Our Story So Far & How It All Began

 

The Ealing Vet and The London House Vet are Independent Mobile Veterinary Services that were founded by Dr Kathleen Batey MRCVS with a simple but powerful goal: to reimagine veterinary care for the Ealing community.

​

The idea first took shape in August 2023, while Kathleen was living and working locally. During this time, she began hearing the same concerns repeatedly from pet owners — frustration with the increasing corporatisation of veterinary practices and a growing sense that personal, relationship-based care was being lost. What many clients wanted was simple: a trusted vet who truly knew them and their pets.

 

With overwhelming encouragement and support from the local community, this vision quickly grew beyond a small local service. By October 2023, the decision was made to develop The Ealing Vet into a wider, locally based mobile practice. In January 2024, The Ealing Vet officially launched as a full-time service, offering independent, at-home veterinary care across Ealing

About The Ealing Vet

The Ealing Vet is an independent, mobile veterinary service providing high-quality care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. Covering W13, W7, W5, TW8, W4 and W3, the service is designed to reduce stress for both pets and owners, while restoring the personal connection at the heart of great veterinary care.

The London House Vet

As demand for high-quality, home-based veterinary care grew beyond Ealing, it became clear that pet owners across London were seeking the same level of service. In September 2025, The London House Vet was born from the natural expansion of The Ealing Vet.

 

Created to meet this growing need, The London House Vet extends the values, ethos, and style of care established by The Ealing Vet to other areas across London and the surrounding regions.

 

 

About Kathleen

Kathleen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2013 and brings many years of clinical experience to her work. She prides herself on providing a friendly, personal and high-quality Independent mobile veterinary service, offering consultations, vaccinations, prescriptions and minor procedures — all delivered directly to your door.

 

The Ealing Vet was born from a desire to move away from impersonal, corporate-led care and back towards something more meaningful. Growing up, Kathleen was inspired by the James Herriot stories, where vets had trusted relationships with their clients and a genuine bond with the animals they cared for. That is the kind of veterinary care she strives to provide today.
