FAQs: Our Services
Who is The Ealing Vet? The Ealing Vet was founded in 2024 by Kathleen Batey, a veterinary surgeon with extensive clinical experience. After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013, Kathleen worked in various clinics and became passionate about offering a more personal, high-quality veterinary service. We currently cover the following postcodes: W13, W7, W5 & TW8. For areas W4 and W3, we are happy to provide services for an additional fee of £15.
Why did you choose to offer a mobile vet service? Kathleen started The Ealing Vet because she noticed a growing disconnection between pet owners and their local veterinary clinics, especially with larger corporate chains buying up many practices across London. This shift often leads to impersonal service and less time for each pet. Kathleen wanted to provide an alternative—a more personalised, one-on-one experience.
What are the benefits of a mobile vet service? A mobile service allows you to avoid the stress of clinic visits, saving you time and energy. No more sitting in traffic, struggling with pet carriers, or waiting in crowded waiting rooms. Your pet gets a stress-free consultation at home, and you can feel confident knowing your vet is familiar with your pet's full history and specific needs. It’s a service tailored to your pet’s comfort and your convenience.
How does a mobile vet service work? To put it simply, we bring the vet clinic to your home! During the consultation, we’ll perform a full health check, discuss any concerns, and administer or dispense any necessary medications.
What services do you offer for my pet? Do you offer a health plan? We don’t offer a formal health plan, but we’re happy to help keep costs down by providing written prescriptions for parasite control. This allows you to purchase the products directly, cutting out the middleman and potentially saving you money in the long run.
