Preparing for Your Visit
The following questions are optional, but the more we know about you and your pet before we arrive, the better we can tailor your visit.
Is there anything we should know before your visit to help make it as calm, safe and stress-free as possible for you and your pet?
For example:
● Is your pet nervous, anxious or fearful?
● Is there a particular way they prefer to be handled or examined?
● Have any techniques worked well during previous veterinary visits?
● Are there any special requests, such as not ringing the doorbell because it upsets your pet?
● What are you hoping to get from today’s appointment?
● Does your dog usually wear a muzzle for veterinary examinations or procedures?
Please note:
● If your pet is nervous or anxious, we strongly recommend a pre-visit telephone consultation so we can discuss your pet’s individual needs and tailor our approach to make the visit as gentle and stress-free as possible.
● If your dog requires a muzzle for veterinary examinations or procedures, please ensure you have a well-fitting basket muzzle available for the appointment. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply muzzles as we cannot carry every size and shape. We recommend Baskerville® basket muzzles, which are widely available online, including from Amazon. Basket muzzles allow dogs to pant, drink and take treats while helping to keep everyone safe during the appointment.
